So You Think You Can Preach!

If you’ve ever dreamt of standing at the pulpit offering an inspirational message, this is your chance! In this class you will:

  • Develop a deeper understanding of Unitarian Universalism and UU worship theology and practice
  • Understand the thinking behind each segment of the worship service
  • Build beloved community by listening deeply and supporting each other
  • Learn basic easy-to-apply sermon writing strategies
  • Build a worship service to offer to the most appreciative and forgiving audience you’ll ever meet
  • Work closely with Rev. Krista, who will support you every step of the way

To get the most out of the experience, you’ll need to attend all 5 sessions, commit to completing the assigned homework, and be prepared to offer your service in Summer 2026. You’ll get the richest experience in person, but zoom is available if you can’t make a session in person. Preference will be given to first-time participants. The class will have a capacity of 10 participants.
