Shared Plate: MCCB Transitions, May 2025

Every Sunday, Eliot Chapel shares half of the offertory with an organization in the community whose work reflects our shared values. This is one way that we care for our community and our neighbors. We are very pleased that May's recipient is MCCB Transitions.

MCCB was founded over concern for foster children with mental disability aging-out of foster care and becoming homeless at the age of 18 years old.

MCCB Transitions is a compassionate nonprofit organization dedicated to providing residential services and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health needs, ensuring they live fulfilling lives within their communities. Founded on the legacy of care by Mary and Crystal Barfield, we offer various programs including group homes, independent living, and personalized support services, all designed to promote independence, dignity, and community integration.
