June 2024 Board Briefing
The Board of Trustees held their June meeting in Adams Hall on June 18 and bid farewell to current president Sara Fleming, along with board members Kalen Ponche, Steve Swift, and Chuck Schuder. These four board members served three years on the board from 2021-2022 church year until this year.
As of April 30, the church has welcomed 26 new members to our midst. Rev. Krista and the staff are making plans for the coming new year. Eliot will offer three Starting Point courses for new visitors and members. In addition, the Adult RE team is planning a variety of classes, covenant groups, affinity and interest groups that will go on a new web page for all Adult Enrichment opportunities. Some of the classes will include the UU Crash Course series, Build Your Own Theology, and So You Think You Can Preach.
This summer, Rev. Krista will be gone on vacation June 24-July 14 and July 29-Aug. 4. The church will be staffed during these times and emergency pastoral care will be provided by Rev. Dee Evans.
Financially, income has exceeded the expectations and Sue Bell expects the year to end on a surplus rather than the anticipated deficit.
The board also discussed everything the board has accomplished in the last three years and looked to the future.
