The Board discussed the article “The Board’s Job in Times of Rapid Change” by Dan Hotchkiss. That text inspired us to restructure the way we do the work of the Board: moving all reports into the consent agenda and dedicating the majority of the meeting to planning, policy, and partnership. This model will eventually integrate the Rolling Roadmap process into Board meetings. As a reminder, ALL are welcome to attend Board meetings to see these changes as they unfold.

The Board began working with the concept of Open Questions. To learn about Open Questions, please read the Hotchkiss article “How Boards Plan.”

Following the mandate of Eliot bylaws to select a Board Secretary during the first meeting of the fiscal year, the Board appointed Rebecca Taylor to that post.
