Eliot is pleased to offer Deep Canvassing Training to help you develop the skills and confidence to engage neighbors, friends, and colleagues in storytelling and empathy building around key social justice issues. By leading with stories, you will be able to move hearts and minds with your lived experience and create conversations that foster empathy, not debate. This approach works because people change through emotion and stories, not facts alone. 

Deep Canvassing Training is appropriate for anyone seeking to engage others in matters of great importance, whether that be social justice, political action, or improving human relations in a neighborhood, organization or even your family. As an example, it will prepare you to engage with people on important local and national political issues, such as Missouri’s new Amendment 3 proposition, which seeks to overturn abortion access and deny Trans youth life-saving gender affirming care.

We, the people of Eliot Chapel, are storytellers, connectors and bridge-builders dedicated to advancing social justice with LOVE, community, and consistent engagement in the democratic process.
