Social Action at Eliot Chapel

eliot logo Our Social Action Committee coordinates local and international outreach efforts. We are always looking for the enthusiasm and creativity of new members! We meet on the second Wednesday of each month. For more information, contact , or see Alicia Boelhauf and Amy Stark.

Yearly events include:

October: St. Louis CROP ("Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty") Walk to increase awareness of global hunger and raise funds for grassroots projects that empower at-risk communities in the US and in developing countries.

December: EnergyCare winter blanket drive

January: EnergyCare Weatherization Day, which helps families in need make their homes more energy efficient

Spring: EnergyCare Air conditioner and fan drive

Summer: Southside Day Nursery school supply drive

Guest speakers from the community throughout the year

Other community service opportunities at Eliot include Room at the Inn, the Hosea House food pantry, Partner Church, and Green Sanctuary.
