Safety & Supervision

Keeping children and youth safe is very important. In order to provide as safe an environment as possible, Religious Education and youth group staff members and adult volunteer teachers are background checked through the state of Missouri and serve as a team at all times. At least two adult leaders must be present at all activities.

The Safe Congregation Policy, found here, is in effect at all times during programs involving children and youth. It is ultimately the responsibility of the entire congregation, not just those in leadership positions or formally signed members, but all community participants, to create and maintain a climate that supports the welfare and safety of everyone in the congregation. Paper copies of this policy can also be found outside the Religious Education & Youth Office.
