What is REALM?
REALM is a comprehensive church management platform from ACS, our longtime provider. While it serves the administrative needs of our staff, it also offers exciting opportunities to support the way you are involved in Eliot Chapel. Not only will this improve work life for our staff, but it will also make it easier for our church family to connect with each other, keep up with what’s going on, and grow as a connected community. You determine how much you want to make this part of your experience with our church, but we encourage you to participate in our link to REALM, EliotConnects.
How to Participate
If you are in our Eliot Chapel database as a member or friend, you will receive an invitation link via email. Click on that link and you’ll be taken to a new login page. You’ll use your existing username but you will need to create a new password for security purposes. After that, you’re in!
If the link in your email has expired, you can go to onrealm.org and click "Forgot your password?" You'll be taken to a page where you can use your existing username to create a new password and log in to EliotConnects. If you don't have an email address on file with Eliot Chapel, you may not receive an email link. If you never set up an AccessEUC account, you may not have a username. In either case, please contact the front office via email or phone (314-821-0911) to have your account set up.
Now What?
Check in to your profile. Every profile is unique. Your profile contains everything you want people at Eliot to know about you. Your profile also enables you to track your giving, update your contact information, change family details, set notification preferences, or replace that outdated family photo. Soon you will be able to join a small group or RSVP to events as these functions come online. Please make sure we have your birthdate! It will help us plan so many events at Eliot. If you don’t wish to give your full birthdate, you can enter January 1 as your birth month and date, but the birth year is really what's important for us. If you don't wish to share your birthdate with your church members and friends, you have full control with whom you share your birthdate in the privacy settings.
If you're accessing your profile on your home computer or laptop, you'll find all these settings in the upper right corner. Edit your profile information, manage your privacy, manage your account information, edit your email settings, and sign out when you're done if you'd like.
Manage your giving. With EliotConnects, you’ll have more access than ever before! Review your giving history or make new donations online or on your mobile phone. Simply sign in to look over your year-to-date giving, check pledge progress, print a contribution statement, or make a new one-time or recurring donation. It’s always available and kept secure in an easy-to-use online environment. No matter how you choose to give to Eliot, you can review all of your giving history online anytime.
Get the mobile app. EliotConnects has a great online dashboard for your computer but the easiest way to access EliotConnects, anytime and anywhere, is with your mobile device. Stay connected wherever you go by downloading the free EliotConnects app for iPhone (you must have an iPhone 5S or later) and Android devices. Use it to manage your giving, update profile information, and access the church calendar. Eventually, you will communicate with your groups, RSVP to events, and more. It makes it easier for the Eliot community to connect throughout the week and know what’s happening.
What About Privacy?
Your information is your information. EliotConnects is only made up of the people at Eliot Chapel – it’s not like a social network that’s open to everyone. EliotConnects keeps your data safe and gives you control over what information you share and who can see it. You have complete control over who can see your contact and personal information. Contact information is never public or searchable on the internet; any information you elect to make visible is always protected behind a login. Authorized staff will always have access to your profile information. For safety reasons, sharing contact and personal information for children under 18 is limited. Parents determine whether or not to display their child’s name in the church directory. Children under 13 may not participate and will not be able to sign in.
